A legacy brand with roots in cigar making, E. León Jimenes is part of the Dominican Republic's oldest cigar house, La Aurora. It's 110 Aniversario Rum, first bottled in 2013, honors that craftsmanship with a two-stage aging process, eight years in virgin American oak followed by two in French oak tuns. Limited releases and small-batch blending keep the focus on refinement and integration rather than brute age statements. It’s a rum designed for quiet evenings and slow cigars. Here is what the judges had to say about it.

"A captivating and richly expressive rum that opens with lingering aromas of vanilla, tropical and black fruits, and brown sugar, flowing into a full-bodied, mouth-coating palate layered with notes of bay leaf, tamarind, and deep molasses, and culminating in a long, satisfying finish where flavors follow through with a perfectly balanced sweetness, leaving a lasting sense of depth and sophistication."
